Orphanage Ministry

God has opened doors for ministry at several orphanages in our area. In two of these places we have ongoing weekly ministry, thanks to two wonderful Ukrainian teams who go each Saturday to minister to the children. Each week they share themselves and the love of Christ. The children hear Bible stories, learn songs, participate in crafts and games, and see Christ modeled in the lives of some Ukrainian young adults who they can look up to for an example. In addition, each summer the teams prepare for a lead a week long day camp for the orphanages (check out the photos in the photo gallery link).
A partnership with the First Baptist Church in Madisonville, TN, has made these ministries possible in orphanages in Vacilivka and Vishateracivka. They wanted to provide to help meet some of the nutritional needs at the orphanages. By meeting this physical need the doors were then opened for spiritual ministry described above. We thank God for the partnership with our friends in Madisonville, and for the two Ukrainian teams that go to these two orphanages each Saturday and help to lead camps in the summer.
