In March of 2006 a small group of students from Alabama came to partner with us to reach college students in the city of Poltava (350,000). God blessed greatly in allowing us to meet new people and to develop relationships with them.
Our goal was to partner with a developing student ministry in Poltava by going in as guests on college campuses to help them with English. As we were in the Universities we were able to invite students to come to evening Christian Student Club meetings, where they heard about Christ and met Ukrainian believers of their own age.
God did a great work in opening doors to a number of schools, and by the end of the week there we had many invitations to return to classes in the future. Each evening we had various meetings with students we met during the day. During the evenings there were a total of about 380 students in the various meetings. In those settings Christ was shared through music, message, and through developing relationships.

The group also had the opportunity of helping to start a Christian student club in another city about an hour from Poltava. It is a county seat city that has a couple of Junior College type schools where some believers are beginning to work with students. We had about 60 students who came and heard a clear presentation of the gospel.
A picture is of course worth.... so take a look at the photos to get some more ideas about the weeks events.
Please Pray that God will continue to touch the hearts of lost students in Poltava.
Also Pray that He will continue to lead and give vision to the Ukrainian students and leaders who are trying to reach students in their city.
